Sometimes a troop of damsels glad, An abbot on an ambling pad,
有时候快活的姑娘一群，骑马缓行的寺院主持人，
Sometimes a curly shepherd-lad, Or long-hair'd page in crimson clad, Goes by to tower'd Camelot;
有时候鬈发小羊倌一名，或留长发的红衣小侍从，去那城堡卡默洛特；
And sometimes thro' the mirror blue The knights come riding two and two:
有时在蓝莹莹的镜子里，可看见联袂并辔的骑士：
She hath no loyal knight and true, The Lady of Shalott.
但没有一位对她矢志不移，对她这女郎夏洛特。
But in her web she still delights To weave the mirror's magic sights,

For often thro' the silent nights A funeral, with plumes and lights, And music, went to Camelot;

Or when the moon was overhead, Came two young lovers lately wed;

A bow-shot from her bower-eaves, He rode between the barley sheaves,

A redcross knight for ever kneel'd To a lady in his shield, That sparkled on the yellow field, Beside remote Shalott.

The gemmy bridle glitter'd free, Like to some branch of stars we see Hung in the golden Galaxy.

The bridle bells rang merrily As he rode down to Camelot;

And from his blazon'd baldric slung A mighty silver bugle hung, And as he rode his armour rung, Beside remote Shalott.

All in the blue unclouded weather Thick-jewell'd shone the saddle-leather,
瞧那无云的晴空万里碧，满是珠宝的马鞍在闪熠，
The helmet and the helmet-feather Burn'd like one burning flame together, As he rode down to Camelot.
那头盔顶上的一蓬鸟羽，像火焰一样的鲜艳明丽，他在驰往卡默洛特。
As often thro' the purple night, Below the starry clusters bright, Some bearded meteor, burning light, Moves over still Shalott.
如同时时在紫莹莹夜间，在簇簇明亮的星星下面，一颗拖光尾的流星出现，掠过宁静的夏洛特。
His broad clear brow in sunlight glow'd; On burnish'd hooves his war-horse trode;
他开朗的脸上闪着阳光；战马锃亮的蹄踏在地上；
From underneath his helmet flow'd His coal-black curls as on he rode, As he rode down to Camelot.
骑马的他一路朝前直闯，盔下的漆黑鬈发在飘扬，他驰向卡默洛特。
From the bank and from the river He flashed into the crystal mirror, "Tirra lirra," by the river Sang Sir Lancelot.
岸上的本人、河里的倒影，一起映进那水晶的明镜，岸上传来了“啦啦”的歌声，唱的人是蓝斯洛。
She left the web, she left the loom; She made three paces thro' the room,
她离开织机、离开织的网，她三步两步走过她闺房，
She saw the water-lily bloom, She saw the helmet and the plume, She look'd down to Camelot.
她看见睡莲的花儿开放，看见那盔顶的鸟羽飘扬，她望着那卡默洛特。
Out flew the web and floated wide; The mirror crack'd from side to side;
那网飞出窗，直朝远处飘；那镜子一裂两半地碎掉，
"The curse is come upon me," cried The Lady of Shalott.
她喊道：“我已在劫难逃”。女郎夏洛特。
In the stormy east-wind straining, The pale yellow woods were waning,
正在狂烈的东风里挣扎，萎黄的树林已日渐凋零，
The broad stream in his banks complaining,
宽阔的河在两岸间呻吟，
Heavily the low sky raining Over tower'd Camelot;
低沉的天空大雨下不停，洒向城堡卡默洛特；
Down she came and found a boat Beneath a willow left afloat, And round about the prow she wrote 'The Lady of Shalott.'
出门来到一株柳树前，找到遗在那里的一条船，就把几个字写在船头边，女郎夏洛特
