We all want do it: defy ageing, look younger, find the fountain of youth. But how many of us actually take the plunge and do something about?

The numbers are surprisingly high. In Japan, age-erasing procedures are a $100-million-a-year industry. In Singapore, 60 percent of those undergoing the procedures are between the ages of 35 and 64, and 25 percent are men. In Thailand, the government promotes plastic surgery tours.

Today a flood of products and procedures can prevent and slow the signs of ageing with little or no discomfort, and without breaking the bank.

But be prepared for a lifetime of use, whether it is using topical cream every day or undergoing injections every three or six months.

Here are four surgery-free techniques that can bring a youthful appearance.

Retinoid: Natural compounds from vitamin A, retinoids treat brown spots and superficial wrinkles.

eg. We need to be prepared for different possibilities.
我们需要为可能发生不同的事而做好准备。
eg. You must also be prepared for the common mistakes people make in interviews.
同时，也要为面试中的常见错误做好准备。
6. start all over again 从头再来；重头开始
eg. The beauty of balance is that I can do it all and not feel bad about my choices, because every moment is an opportunity to start all over again.
平衡的美在于，我可以做这一切并且不感到我的选择是糟糕的，因为每一个时刻都是一个从头开始的机会。
eg. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
