正在报名｜亚洲学校辩论公开赛 2024（WSDC 3V3）

亚洲学校辩论公开赛2024采用「WSDC」赛制，将于6月29-30日举行。

The annual tournament seeks to enhance students’ debating skills critical thinking and persuasion skills.

The tournament will involve four (4) preliminary rounds where all participants will debate against each other and collect points by winning the debates. The rounds will be judged by a professional debater who will deliver the results of each round and provide oral feedback for the teams. At the end of the preliminary rounds, the top eight(8) or top sixteen (16) teams will then qualify for either the Quarterfinals or the Octofinals, depending on the tournament size. Here the teams will compete in a series of knock-out rounds and the last two (2) standing teams will compete in the Grand Finals.

NO INTERNET USAGE DURING PREPARATION PERIOD

DURING THE PREPARATION PERIOD, PARTICIPANTS ARE PROHIBITED FROM SEEKING HELP FROM ANYONE BUT TEAMMATES

6、CHECK-IN

Private link for Check In will be emailed to each participant. Check-in is done via the private link.

All debaters and judges must complete Check-In by 9:00 am +8 GMT on Day 1 and Day 2. Only do so when you are on Zoom.

Failure to complete Check-In by the stipulated time will result in teams and judges being dropped from the tournament.

7、ROLL CALL

All participants are considered to be present once Check-In for the day is completed. Do not leave until the day is over.

If there are any technical issues during the round, immediately contact the Convener in the Main Session or via Signal.

For any equity complaints, please contact the Equity Officers after the round.

8、Draw

The tab is hosted on TabbyCat.

The draw will be released on Zoom. Take note of your room number & position.

Change your name on Zoom to reflect your room as follows: Round+Room<space>Name

9、Motions

Core Adjudicators will release the motion on Zoom. Core Adjudicators will answer the queries verbally on Zoom. For your convenience, you may take a picture of the motion.

30 minutes of preparatory time will start once the motion is released. You will be moved to your debate room 5 minutes after the preparation period begins.

10、Start

After preparation time, the judge will start the round immediately. If you do not appear on Zoom by this time, your team will be replaced with a swing team.

Please turn on your camera at all times and remain muted if it’s not your turn to speak. The judge will invite the speaker to speak when it’s their turn. do not spam the chat box.

11、Finish

After the debate, please don’t leave the breakout room. The judge will take 5 mins to make a decision and will return to the breakout room for results and feedback.

There will be 1 minute additional preparation time in between speeches. There will NOT be a feedback session right after the debate. Judges will provide feedback after they deliver the results.

赛事与课程报名

SDcamps·演辩营提供面向各大赛事的有针对性的备赛课程和集训。我们的mock模拟辩论指导将帮助参赛选手准备比赛，进行实战演练。同时，我们还将讨论备赛辩题的各个观点漏洞，并通过备赛期间的数据收集来填补论点上的缺陷。我们专注于培养学生在crossfire环节提问对方的能力，并在summary和final focus环节帮助评委梳理全场论点，以说服评委为己方投票。
