And the deep lane insists on the direction into the village, in the electric heat

Hypnotised. In a warm haze the sultry light
被灰色的石头吸收了，
Is absorbed, not refracted, by grey stone.
而不是折射。
The dahlias sleep in the empty silence.
大丽花丛沉睡在空阒的寂静中。
Wait for the early owl.
等待着早来的枭鸟。
