We call it Box Computing.
称为框计算
It's our vision for the future of computing.
这是对于未来计算的一个愿景
Why?
为什么这么说呢?
This is a search box that every Chinese is familiar with,
这是一个中国人都很熟悉的搜索框
but when you look at people's needs,

people are typing all kinds of queries

in this box. For example…

So you can tell that people have very high expectations
你会发现人们对于百度
about Baidu or about a search engine.
有很高的期望值
They type in all kinds of things, all kinds of needs.
五花八门的问题，各式各样的需求
Originally, we thought it's information needs only;
起初，我们以为人们只是需要信息而已
we just need to find a web page that contains the query word,
只需找到一个带有关键字的网页即可
but it's actually not.
但实际上并不是
Average consumers have very,

very high expectations about search engines.
对于搜索引擎有很高的期望值
Then I look at all the other non-search applications

on the Internet.

A Yahoo! Finance page, you see a search box or

a box on the very prominent position.

Facebook, there are boxes.

in the most prominent position. And Amazon.

Everything is about search,

but every search box is kind of different.

The function is different.

For Amazon, you are in a shopping mall,

and for Twitter there's a box that you can type
而在推特，你可以在搜索框里
up to 140 characters to publish your status.

There are all kinds of different boxes or

the purpose for those boxes are different.
因为这些搜索框的目的也不同
Then I started to think,

"Is there any way that we can save the consumers'

effort and integrate everything,
省下精力与时间
every function, every application,
将所有功能，所有应用，所有信息
every information needs that a user wishes into one box?"
按照用户所希望的，整合到一个搜索框内?
This is also the classification of user's needs
这是根据用户需求
in our search box.
进行的分类
It could be information-oriented, it could be a dialogue,
可以是信息导向的，也可以是对话
it could be some kind of tools,
或者是一种工具
a request function or dictionary or computing request.
一种对功能的需求，比如对字典，计算的需求
If we integrate all these kinds of requests
如果把这些请求
or this kind of consumer needs into one box,
或者用户需求都整合到一个搜索框内
that should be a magic box. That is called Box Computing.
